Storing a 8 3/4 center section.

Am pulling the pumpkin (8 3/4) from my 73 Charger to install it in my 72 Swinger. But. It will be awhile before the install. Any suggestions as to how I might store it, so it wont get messed up?
Also, Can I get a rear gear oil filler tube at any parts store?

I have one of mine stored in a milk crate.

I've heard of others using a 5 gallon pail

Make sure it's oiled up, bag it, put it in a milk crate
