Hello all. I have a 1970 340 bored .60 over that I have been thinking about putting a stroker kit in. Is there machine work that would need to be done to put a stroker crank in?

How much stroke ? Up to 4 " , you might need to relieve the bottom of the bores a little bit if you are swinging stock rods.
3.79 would be a drop in.
But most kits have rods that are made for this and will work as is.
Over 4 " , you will have to pay attention for sure.

Stock rods or H-beam rods will require the block to be notched to clear the lower bore.

H-beam rods I had to also clearance the oil pump.

once you use a 4 inch stroker crank you will never go back to a 3.31 the torque beats the hp imop
