Strut bushing replacement

Just so I am clear,

to change the strut bushings on my 65 valiant, I will need to disconnect the spindle from the lower balljoint arm, remove the clip on the torsion bar, take the pressure off the torsion bar, and then after removing the lca pivot bolt, slide the lca back so the front bushing is accessable to change..

ANYTHING i AM MISSING??

Got them both changed.. Found out what the clunking sound was... the bushing on the passenger side was wearing badly... and starting to fall apart..
All the bushings were new poly bushing with less than 9000 km's on them

Not very good life out of them


replaced with Moog kit k7040 and seems to be all better.

Unfortunately , it is not the first time I have posted looking for advice/guidance and received no response..

So Yes, I have resorted to "talking to myself".

You never know someone else may have a similar problem that I did and it may help them diagnose their problem..
