My company does well analysis for various companies primarily in South Texas. Being so busy here up north, they have expanded their customer branch. I had the pleasure of coming up here(never been) to work on 3 wells for this company up here. Well this short 3 day job has turned into a clusterf*ck. This particular company didn't want to pay the added cost of our communication packages to send data to their engineers via satellite. So with a combination of failed communication, pure lazyness and a power struggle between 2 offices, they want me to drop what Im doing, Drive to each of the 3 wells once a day, download the information and send it to the engineers. Basically the task my 9 yr old could handle with ease. Lets hope once upper managment gets involved they clear this **** up so I can get home to my beautiful wife and kids.By the way you Northerners, in Willingston and its a freezing cold **** up here. Far cry from blue skies in Houston! Venting Done!! back to youtube, carporn and well **** lol

How's the weather up there!? :D

Seriously, I'd give anything to trade places with you.... Would much rather be at home in the frozen North.

Don't forget to go to Bismarck and hit up Kroll's Kitchen on Airport Rd... Get the fleischkeukle with a bowl of knoephla. (flaysh kee-kla, NEFF-lah)... Also, if you go to Cash Wise, you can pick up some Kuchen (koo-kin). :)

Also, bring a Taco John's back with you.... No, not an order of food; a WHOLE FRANCHISE!!! Texas needs more TJ's, seriously. I gotta drive an hour to Holloman AFB, NM to get my TJ's fix. :(

Got in last night. The coldest it got while I was there was -9, and that was while driving from Williston to Minot to the Harley dealer. It was snowing and 5 when our flight left :)

In Williston, next to the Walmart is a place called Lonnie's roadhouse. I ate there a few times , real good home cooking .

Nothing like the minus temperatures to give you an appreciation of the warmer weather. We have been getting hit with a cold snap here as well...anywhere from -14 to -20
Pm coming yer way bout your job

Seems you missed the really good weather.... Early Jan, ND likes to dip below -30 to -40 and stay there until late Jan. So cold, you can actually watch a car battery freeze and crack. Also so cold you can throw a lit match into a can of 91 octane and watch the match fizzle out. :D

Also, you were in Williston; did you see the ATF? I forget the name of the store, but it's a gas station with a big hunting supply store attached to it; it sells alcohol and tobacco at the gas station half, and firearms at the hunting supply half!!! When I see those people who always say "The ATF should be a convenience store, not a government agency," I always think of that store and say "BUT IT ALREADY IS!" :D

Dear God, Minot. You have my heartfelt sympathy. I spent a whole week there one day......

^ that. Minot is the second worst city in ND, Fargo being the worst.

The bad thing is that this winter is actually one of the warmer winters. :) If you are in the Bismarck area this weekend they have a couple of indoor car shows going on Friday and Saturday at Moritz Sport and Marine and Riverwood RV.

Ceekay, never saw the ATF store. Sounds pretty cool, wish I would have. 65dartcharger, we do oil/gas well analysis for a lot of big oil companies primarily in south texas. Getting our fingers in the candy jar up north. My boss thought I was insane when I told her I enjoy the cold. I am a bit of a nutcase:sign3::burnout:

She thought you were insane.... Then you got to ND and experienced REAL cold, and proved her right? ;)

You know it's winter up here when you sit down on velour seat and it goes "thud", like a park bench! That happens around-20 or so. I had a '79 Lebaron with 318 that had such worn bearings in it that i ran straight 30 weight year 'round. The old girl would start at -25 without being plugged in-would hit on one cylinder for a while, then start picking up more until it ran on all eight. Love those 318's!!!
