I really like the fuel systems you can build for EFI custom builds......since I've built a few now. Is there a reason not to use an EFI type filter on a carbureted build? Thank you drive through.

The only thing I could think of would be cost. The EFI filters can handle higher fuel pressure and flow better than regular fuel filters. Filtration down to 5 microns can be had by either type. JMO! 65'

I threw a 2.2 TBI filter I had on as a temporary for the Holley pump after I finished the fuel tank. Not sure what micron it is, but it hasn't posed any problem.
Lol, One day I'll find a permanent place for both.

I installed a BIG EFI filter on my car in 1999, at the back. The same filter is still there . My HD Mopar mechanical pump has been pulling thru it for over 125,000 miles. At the front I have a 1-piece line from the pump to 750 dualfeed; no filter in it, no filters in the carb, no problems.
