So I found this, what feels like styrofoam wedge in the car and I'm not sure what it is or why it's there..... or why I need it.

Any one have some info on this.

Car is a 63 valiant wagon.

It's there to help block air flow into that joint, I believe. There have been others who've found similar.

Thats the Bermuda Triangle, lost tools find their way in there somehow, good idea to block it.

I have them they go on the fraimrail where the body meets, to keep vibration down? Really not sure of the purpous, but they are going back in.

That area is no mans land , if dirt , or tools fall in there , most times u cant get it/them out . I usually never find them , or find them out in the street after backing out .

What they said. I think it was to keep mud and crud out of those tight places. I bought some from from Gary G when he was still in business, but I didn't like them, so I made some from tight formed foam blocks.
