One fella here got one, returned it promptly.

I had a earlier version of these carbs. They were made by Holley first. Unimpressive, but worked fine.

For a inexpensive carb that will work well, your 2 choices would be;

Edelbrock's AFB series carb.

OR

Holley's 3310 750 carb.
 
Had the holley version on a 5.0 years ago.Not bad,not good,just there.Small cam ebrock,bigger cam 3310 holley.Rumble nailed it.
