Is there a way to repair the sun visor. The outside vinyl doesn't look bad but it appears the inside is out of shape and should be replaced. The brackets are good.

You can slit the end seam stiching and replace the inner (board) and then hand sew the seam back together.
The only part that is a PIA is the part of the inside that supplies the resistance to hold the visor where you put it.

Thanks, where do you find the material for the inside. I can't justify $150 to replace something that actually doesn't look that bad

I haven't cut these open yet. Looks like it would need some foam to fill it out.

 sewing! You might just try to find a nice used set and dye to match your interior. I did that and they look like new. I my have an extra set, I'll take look when I get a chance.

Are yours padded or flat?? I have a pair of flat visors in white you could dye, and somewhere in this mess I have a pair with no vinyl covering, just the boards, rods and mounting plates! When it's light I'll look for them!

Mine will clean up and be okay. I'm just going a little stir-crazy so am looking at anything I can do while recuperating.

mine are the exact opposite of your. The inside is pretty good but the outside sucks. I'm going to sew up a new vinyl set after taking apart the originals for a pattern. the hardest part will be the outer binding (making it look good specifically) most sewing machines can not do this type of binding and look good. I will super glue the binding on and then slowly stitch it together with a friends commercial machine.
