Ok so I have a 72 duster with a badly rotted roof. Soo I did what any other car nut would do, I bought a parts car! Unfortunately this parts.car was severely rotted but the roof and other extras were solid! It's a 1974 Space Duster Twister... Sunroof, fold down rear seat , sport mirrors, rear electric defogger, 318, etc etc.. anyways, the sunroof is solid, but one side of the door track is broken and the crank grinds.. does anyoneknow where to getparts for these things?

If it's the cable, Look for a part number on the end of the cable, you should be able to locate a replacement for another vehicle. Chances are it's just the worm gear/transmission is worn out. That part is available for sure.

Golde manufactured the moonroof assemblies for chrysler, and they made moonroof assemblies for every other major manufacturer too. Many of the parts are the same for other roofs produced by Golde as well.

Such as the Crank Handle for example. In the mopar world, people want buttrape prices for one of those handles. I bought one for my '73 Duster, it was for some import (Made by Golde). Same exact handle as the one everyone charges a fortune for if they add "Mopar" to the sale title...cost me $5.

Bought a brand new worm gear/transmission for another Duster moonroof, it was for some import as well (made by Golde). $8
