Super low budget 68 Dodge Coronet police car build

Here is our nice 68 Coronet four door that we picked up cheap. I couldn't pass it up as I have wanted to build a police car for some time now and the price was rite. Plans are to put in a 383HP with 727 and a 3:23 or 3:55 sure grip, paint it black and white, and change the interior to tan. I will be asking for input threwout this thread. There are a few local FABO members that are also going to be helping on it. Hopefully they will chime in.

I forgot to get pics before we started tearing the interior out. It was nasty. There was literally a lake on the floor due to some kids busting the windshield all to hell a few years ago. The headliner had come completely apart and was all over the place. There was broken windshield glass everywhere, etc... But myself and my friend Neil got bored and started cleaning it up.

After some heavy vacuum time, much to my surprise. The floors on this thing are beautiful.

Again, I can't believe how solid this car is. Have you ever seen a trunk floor look this good?

The only place that I have found that really needs any metal work is in the trunk lid and a little bit on the front trunk seal. Some asshat filled it with foam for what ever reason and it caused a few small problems.

And check out the lower 1/4's.

After clean up, we checked to see what parts we have and are pleasently surprised.

Then we opened the hood, or what I like to call the spider nest.

It didn't take us but 15 seconds to find a brown recluse. I love cars with spiders.

Will update more as we go.

The first bite doesn't look to bad, still a little brused. But not bad. So time to play with more...

I need to spider bomb all of these cars before I get bit again, or someone else does.

Special ordered by the zone rep (a neighbor) for my dad.
It had a very rare rear sway bar.
