I started a thread last week called "Surf's Up" with a beautiful pic out of the local newspaper of a 'normal' wave at a local SoCal surfing spot called "The Wedge" in Newport Beach.
Well, this weekend we're getting a south swell from a storm off of Tahiti that is making the Wedge break huge starting yesterday through the weekend. So, here's the pic from last week for all you who may not have seen it and a couple pics from today's Orange County Register newspaper showing yesterday's big stuff.

These pics bring a lot of memories back to me of of the great surf music from the '60s. Let's hear your memories of some of the big-time groups. And for you younger FABO members, it wasn't just The Beach Boys that played surf music.
