Well, finished underneath car metal work and undercoating the other day so decided to take off rotisserie and put new rear springs and my rearend back under the car. Sits soooooo much better with the new HD five leaf springs from JC Whitney (ordered them last year). My factory hd ones were pretty clapped out and car sat all the way down even with those helper shocks on it. But look at it now.

I figure it will settle in some with time and when I put more body parts on but still she sits nice eh? No shocks on it yet even.

I wish I would have pulled the trigger on some of those springs, it seems like there are less options now.

Did they line up correctly? did you have toorder anything esle to make them work ,or was is just a plug in play? I tought I read somewhere that they didn't come w/something.... How much were they?

I was just looking at leaf springs at JCWhitney. Didn't really see much of a selection. Do you have a link or stock number for them? How much did it raise the rear?

My rear springs are shot and looking for something that'll raise it a bit.

Unfortunately they aren't offered on JC Whitney any more. I bought these over a year ago but I noticed after I bought and received mine that they had been discontinued and that other members had no luck getting them.

They were a direct bolt in affair, the only thing I had to do was grind the front eyelets just a little due to them being about a 1/16 too wide for the front hangers but a quick touch of the grinder made it perfect. I assembled the complete rearend up 1st, rolled it under the car (on jackstands), tilted the assy back which brought the front hangers into position...slipped right into place and hand tightened the front nuts. Next put a jack under pumpkin and lifted assy up and lined up rear hangers and tighted up the rear hanger bolts...wham bam thank you maam it was in...actually was easier than taking it out.

When I bough these they cost $120 which included free shipping. You just can't beat that for such a easy and much needed improvement. But like I said I don't think the regular heavy duty 5 leafs are available anymore from JCW...just those really HEAVY DUTY truck looking ones now. These were supposed to be the equivalent to my factory HD one's with just a little more lift.

Here is a picture of car before new springs...sits okay in this pic but realize it still had a set of those big ole shocks with the coil springs on it...when I took those off the car sat just above the top of the rim. Now WITHOUT shocks car sits about an inch above same wheel and tire. (in the voice of Borat)..."NICE!"

Not off hand...I was thinking maybe ESPO/Springs and Things might be able to get some but I can't bring their website up for some reason.

My springs have a maker id sprayed on them...says "JCR" or JRC" but not sure what it means.

The ones I got from JR Springs cost me about $65.00 delivered to my door.... They are a manufacturer so they probably make those springs your buying elsewhere..

What was the part number on them? Are they HD springs or stock replacements?

I called them today..they said they sell stock replacment only...

i don't know if this will help but i took my leaf springs into a spring shop and had thenm rebuilt to super stock specks. this got rid of the soft suspention that sagged every time i filled up the tank. if i remember it cost me about $200-$250 cnd.
i know that there not new or nos. but they are working well

I believe ESPO offers springs at +1" above stock ride height. I bought my stock replacement springs from them and really like them a lot. Although I didn't go for the extra 1" like others have. Their service is good and excellent quality product:
