Swapping dashes and VIN tag ?

best bet it to grind the rivets from the bottom.. then just glue the tag and original rivets onto the new dash.. they are special rivets. i used to see them for sale but not sure how "correct" looking they are..
I agree. I've done the tag swap in various ways from saving the old, to buying the new repops, to making my own. According to head of the DMV here in Ca, if there is no fraud involved, any of those methods is legal.
 

How often does your car get inspected unless you're losing your pink slip and needing a vin verification? If you ever get called on it, just say it was like that when you bought it and then show them the other vin's stamped into the metal.
