Was finally able to procure a Victor 340 intake( thanks GTX John)
Just curious what thoughts are on what, if anything i might see on an ET slip
Definitely port match it, maybe a bit extra work
Here is current combo
904
4900-5000 flash vert
418… 340+40+ 4 inch scat forged crank
12.3 compression
260/264 565/565 lift solid cam..on 106 in at 104
850 race brawler
Mild port Eddie heads 2.05 intakes, 272@550, good low lift numbers.
4 hole 1 inch hvh super sucker
4.30 gear
28 radial(275)
1 5/8 Dougs headers
Kooks 3 inch race muffs
3320 race weight
Current bests..6.78/10.77… 101/122.80

i may, after testing this intake may put 1.6 rockers on intakes to open valves a bit more so motor is seeing 550+ true lift at valve, right now with deflection and lash, likely 520 ish?+-

Thoughts, advice….

Good intake years ago we saw a 13 hp difference on the dyno from a Strip Dominator that was gasket match ported to an out of the box Victor... I would also think a 1 7/8 header would be a gain. We also saw a hp gain going from 1 5/8 headers to 1 7/8 but I don’t remember how much

I agree ^^^^. You've eliminated one choke point only to magnify another. But you know this already.

Using more rocker ratio on the intakes is popular these days.

Looking forward to the results:thumbsup:

gonna do the intake first to get results, then do the rocker swap after i baseline the intake swap. Just talked to HS, made me a deal on the rockers.

also found out from HS the cheaper rocker kit they sell at Mancini is dimensionally identical to the old Mopar/ Crane Gold rockers, so would be a direct swap if a person had a need for replacement rockers that were made by Crane.
The eddie specific rockers are 60 shorter than standard HS small block rockers, the cheaper Mancini offerings are 30 shorter…..right in the middle

That would also mean they are a direct swap for the MP blue rockers as well.
