Swapping out Tailshaft housings

I have scored a really nice working 360 727 combo for my Duster and getting ready to install and I notice that there is no provision for my console shift rod bracket on the tailshaft. I have another tailshaft housing with the provisions are there any tricks to swapping these besides the retaining ring?

remove bolts....pop snap ring...it comes off...

put new bushing and seal on tail shaft while it is off...

If you don't have the right snap ring pliers that snap ring can be stubborn sometimes but other than that it's an easy job.
