Sway bar confusion

The one with the bend is stock 70 Dart w/
Kelsey hayes brakes package
The other one is an addco bar
I double checked to make sure its the right one


I dont understand the bend, and dont understand the added length of the new bar
I looked and am not sure I have enough room to adjust for the estra length , seems as if it could cause binding

The Addco bar is intended to work with both Factory lower control arm tabs and ones you can add to the shock bolt. The bend in the stock bar is to clear the radiator core support to K Frame brace.

Oh I forgot to add, the Addco bar mounts further out from the K-frame than the stock bar. Thats why its a bit longer.

I don't know if they've redesigned them, but, I was never too impressed with the early Addco sway bars. The link geometry was way off causing the links to bend.

won't bend if you use something like this
