Swinging for Divorce…

Called Hellwig and asked about their sway bar link bushings, let the guy know I needed to buy some more. He said there were none in stock but said he would get ahold of me when they came in, then asked my contact information.

Well a set of new sway bar links with bushings showed up this week. He just sent them to me, that’s customer service and they just gained a new life long customer.

@nutz this is the only photo or information I can find of the felt washers, it may be a 67 and earlier thing.

My wife was having some work done on her teeth and thought the loupe’s glasses they used could be handy for car projects. Ever repurpose a pair or pneumatic dental drill for hobby use?

I have an extra pair but they are 3500 for a pair with a light so I don’t have any for the shop just yet.

These could work pretty well if you wanted a cheap pair.

I have 4 LED overhead dental lights sitting in my shop that I have thought of hanging over my workbench but haven’t done it yet. They look like this.

Ok so this was an amazing purchase! I’ll have to figure out how to attach the lower moulding but it’s nice! I hope I don’t **** it up before getting it painted…. Speaking of painters, are they really the worst at getting back to people or is it just out here? At the speed I’m going to have to learn to do body work and paint if I ever want it done.

Also got some organizers and bins for all my bolts and ****. Labeling isn’t fun I may pass that part off to an employee looking for something to do at my office.

Called painter on Friday, no reply yet. I guess maybe I’ll have to keep looking around?

Haven’t done much for the car this weekend. Cleaned more bolts up and organized more bolts and parts… I also got a fridge for the garage for Rose, it’s a retro fridge but she loves it. It’s already stocked with soda and popsicles, as well as some whiskey lol.

I’ve been at the office all weekend, the state radiology inspector said he wanted me to have thicker lead lined walls in a couple areas… well saved myself a couple grand and did the work myself.

Went to the Mo-Kan Dragway for the car show, swap meet and races.

Nothing to crazy, less cars than last year I think due to the weather. The didn’t get a photo but an orange Superbird was leaving on a trailer when I got there.

I picked up a 68 tail panel for 60 bucks, it’s not perfect but a good wall hanger.

Finished the day fishing in my neighbors pond, caught some bluegills. There are some bass in there but I haven’t caught any. Rose is terrified of the fish but she will hook them and reel them in.

I ask him all the time to buy the 15 acres that this pond sits on but he isn’t ready to sell yet.

That's great getting the kids outdoors! I bet you are happy with your move from Vegas. Enjoy it while they are young, Joe
