My motorhome has full syn rotella although it only has approx 500 miles on oil it's over 10 yrs old does age affect syn oil? Should I change it? Chevy 454 big block

I would change it. 10 years of contaminants is not what you'd want in it. Not only that, it's 20 minutes and 20 bucks.

I'd worry more about keeping that big block chivy cool. First time they hit 198* the heads crack like chapped lipsWhy bother? Chevy stuff is so cheap you can almost replace the entire engine for the cost of an oilchange...
