While changing the front suspensions in 3 Darts

I have heard of six cylinder bars and v-8 bars>
What are the sizes?

I have 3 that are .875"

70 4 door dart, /6 auto with A/C, 9"brake
71 swinger, 318, auto, A/C, 10" brake
73 Duster, 340, auto, No A/C, Disc

1 that is .900"

72 Dart /6,auto, No A/C, Disc

The numbers on the ends are how you determen what they are from. All three you have listed will be different numbers for each car.

Shouldn't the diameters be 0.870, 0.920 etc, nothing over 1 inch came stock?

There's nothing hard and fast except that 340 cars had the .870" bar and 383/440 cars had .890" (I think the 67 383 cars may have had the .870" bars, but don't quote me). 318 cars could have .850" or .870". the larger bars came on cars iwth the handling package or AC. Slant cars usually had .830", but could have .850" or .870" depending on options.

The 340 and the 318 A/C car should have 892/893 as their bar numbers...
