T6 turbo dart

Megasquirt can do all that, its a learning curve from what I hear but I'll be diving into tuning mine once I get the exhaust done.
Yeah, I saw the ms stuff but am not familiar with the software as I am Holley. I was trying to be lazy also and have a plug and play solution hence the sniper. Contemplating more and more doing the Holley terminator x universal kit with the Holley dual sync distributor as a cam/ crank signal and a 4150 elbow into GM LS throttle body for TPS/ IAC. And of course all the other GM sensors for pressures/ map etc. More expensive than a carb and msd programmable box but a heck of a lot more features.

^^true and understand. Took me a bit to find a dyno place to help tune the MS when I'm to that point, most places all do Holley or Big stuff

Dual aeromotive 340 pumps. Working on getting that e85 flowing right. Modified a single aeromotive hat, should work.

True divided hot side done. Mocking up the alternator. And starting the downpipe. 4” to the firewall then 3.5” out. Not sure how far back I’ll go or what I will do for a muffler. Maybe even go duals out the back.... haven’t decided.

Dual 2” to single 2.5” for the single 60mm wastegate. Debated on dual 44ss but really wanted to dump into the downpipe and space is so limited in these cars. Also, that’s a 4” downpipe that will neck down to 3.5 and go out the back... somewhere.

Got my carb in today from HPR carb service. Set up for e85 blow through. Also got my carb hat. Looks like I’ll also need a new hood unfortunately. The second pic is actually on a weiand intake that is shorter than the victor jr. Also, I’ll need to weld a spacer on the hot if I want to put it straight and not hit the float screw.

True, but a little heavy just means you can turn boost up more :steering:

A little concerned with how this stock block is going to hold up. Everything else in the car is built to handle a good amount of power. 600hp seems to be this looming rumor of what the la small blocks can handle. The rotating assembly is all forged but the block/ caps are stock...

True that is the myth, but turbos are easier on internals compared to other extra HP. Car will be bad *** either way you go, great build

Tacking some ideas together. Next year I may build a custom Air to Water intercooler but going non-ic for now. Deciding if I want one of the fancy expensive aluminum coupler joints on the market now or just silicone.

Also, once the fab is all done the motor is coming out. Wiring will be re-done, nitrous stuff taken off, and the engine bay will be painted.... I hope haha.

Fancy aluminum coupler nice thing is only one t clamp compared to two. Full interior? Going to keep the a/c unit under dash? Like some on here can put the air/water under there and plumb in the pipes through the firewall, mount the ice box in the truck and run the water lines along the trans tunnel. Just a thought or idea.

Nice build....
The first time it comes up on Boost it will all be worth it!!

I know some of these pics may seem repetitive but I guess it’s more for my record than anything else. Getting from the mocked up to finish welded state is taking a lot of time/ argon/ and filler rod. More than I expected for sure.

Had to add a spacer to the hat to clear the fuel bowl screw. Also, the downpipe Is finish welded down to the trans pan.

All the cutting and welding for the turbo kit is done so it’s off to sand blasting. Just getting the engine bay done. Couldn’t let myself put all this hard work into a tri-colored engine bay. Thinking I’ll do gloss black but not 100% yet.

Also going to fill all the random self tapper holes from this car’s previous owners over the last 50 years.
