Tach Hookup MSD 6AL

Hooked up a MSD 6AL to my Duster but left the Tach hooked up thru the coil. The needle now goes crazy jumping around. Does the wire that goes from tach to the coil now get disconnected and hooked to the grey coming from the 6AL. Just want to make sure.

yoiu can not use the - coil for the tach with a msd 6....have to use the tach hook up on the box....

There should be a tach output spade on side of MSD box.
Find the instruction at MSD site.
