If it's plastic, yes, they will have ground wires attached to the bulb socket. How have you been testing to see if you have juice at the socket? Using an ice pick type test light? If so, use that same ground spot for the one end of the ground jumper wire. Put a good bulb (probably an 1157) into the socket, turn on the lights, then touch the other end of the ground jumper to the outside of the metal bulb housing. The light should come on if the bulb is making a good connection (both power and ground) inside the socket. If it now works, the factory ground wire is not making a good connection somewhere. Trace both ends until you find the problem. You can use that same jumper wire to diagnose where the factory ground is open.
