Tail pipe hangers

Do these hangers bolt to the bottom or side of the frame rail?

Bottom. If you bolted them to the sides, the hanger would be oriented incorrectly and you couldn't clamp it to the exhaust pipe.

If that is the style you need they bolt to the bottom. There is a pear shopped hole the clip goes into.
