taking out instument panel on 68 dart

i need to get at the back of instrument panel but when i took screws out panel only moved a few inches any help

May sure the battery is disconnected. The amp gauge wires are HOT !
Find the speedo cable coming through the firewall and pull/push it toward the panel. If the panel is loose it should move outward enough to reach behind.

thanks will try it i guessed that was the way but like to ask before messing something up
