Ok my 72 Swinger is having heating issues wont heat up until 16 miles down the road and even then isn't that hot. So I'm certain the heater core is shot but I just want to make sure before I buy it and don't get ahead of myself. So any advice would be great

Is Your Heater Core Leaking?if Not It,s Fine.have You Tryed Swapping Your Thermostat?new Antifreeze?the Reason I Ask Is It Goes Bad After 5 Years.just A Couple Ideas Before Spending$$$$$.

If the motor is hot, feel the heater hoses. If one is hot and one is cold, either the core is plugged or the heater control valve is messed up.
If the motor is not warming up, the themostat is most likely stuck open....
Cold motor is Bad Ju-Ju.

feel the hoses to your heater core...it sounds like they wont be all that hot...feel the radiator hoses as well...see whats getting hot and what isnt. you can eliminate a restriction that way.

Well one day something was leaking and it was anitfreeze coming out by the looks of it where the feet vents are but it never did that again. So could that be whats going on its clogged and backing up in the vents or what?
