In theory to vent ionized air and moisture out, no idea if it works or not for that the distribs have drain holes for moisture.
Forgot I had this other 69 340 dual point stashed away from 10 years ago after digging through some boxes, with a tan cap. Also missing ground wire but eyelet is there. In theory to vent ionized air and moisture out, no idea if it works or not for that the distribs have drain holes for moisture.
Matches if you have a blue engine and blue wires.Agreed. Pretty good quality but stupid color.

And frankly on most of my cars I didn't care what color matched - Blue Streak was the premium line and that's what counted.
Not so premium anymore..
lol, I just remember the blue streak points, but I get ya there Steve. Especially if your motor was red. Can't say what my reaction would've been as a kid buying tune up parts for my 'cuda.Matt, I just couldnt that blue was just so ugly I didnt care about the quality whether good or bad.
The black one is just like the one I ordered and received. I will run it until it won't run. Has MOPAR on it also, that's got be worth something, prob only cost wise, hoping quality wise. Never know who makes the "OEM Mopar" parts like that, changes over the years. Thanks.
On the top or inside? Have only seen the DP with aluminum contacts.I've had the tan caps that say "Made in U. S. A. & Made in Canada" that have the brass contacts. I prefer them for my race only application, as the contacts don't start growing & oxidizing while sitting between races as the aluminum contacts do.
