Anyone use one of these or is there a better way to find TDC? I used to remember what valve was down when the #1 cylinder was at TDC but its been a while.

Thanks again

For $25 they're kidding right. You can see that all they did was take an old spark plug, gut it out, get a piece of all-thread, grind down the end so the threads don't dig into the piston, weld a nut to the end of spark plug the same size as the all-thread then weld 2 nuts to the end of the all-thread. You can make that at home for, lets say $2.50 which is exactly how I built mine years ago.

Holy smokehouse! That tool is crude!! Make one at home like DS says or get the whole kit from Summit with a degree wheel, piston stop, dial indicator and mag base.

They call them TDC locators just so they can charge more. LOL
All they really are is a piston stop. toolman

I think I will pick up the kit from summit for sure.

Thanks

5/8 sparkplug size and only charges 9.95. These are the quick way to check TDC if the heads are on the motor. Mopar has been selling their's for 30 years.
