The last month or so I've been bumping into the same girl at our office building in the smoking area. Well, I managed to get a dinner date for tomorrow. 8) I believe that she's originally from Amarillo, TX. Very cool and very cute. Likes to wear the peasant dress thing and high boots. =P~

She also gave me the low-down on chili, lol! I guess discussions of chili and BBQ can start a fight down there. :snakeman:

LOL! I'm originally from Chi town but I've been here for 14 years. Miller Genuine Draft was my beer of choice after drinking Old Style for many years. Now it's Heineken for beer and rum and cokes if I want to get trashed with shots of Rumpleminz on the side. Special occaisions call for Jameson Whiskey!

I never did like Coors and neither did she. She digs Captains and Coke and Miller for beer! A woman after my heart. :love7: I spent 30 minutes a day on 6 weeks of smoke breaks feeling this woman out (Whoops, that sounds bad, lol!) before I asked her out.

Never would underestimate anyone and especially a woman. She seemed super sweet until I brought up the chilli thread I'd been reading here. Damn, she got spicy quick! She said ever hear "Don't mess with Texas?" I said "Yep", she said "No Bullshit". Lol! I like it. I think she was prodding me to ask her out wtihout me knowing it and I just blurted it out. I was manipulated but in a good way, lol!

Your first Chorus is me. 8) I've dug ditches, worked in a laundy plant in Chicago, my dad first taught me to use a chainsaw on his land in N WI when I 12. Not much good chilli up there but damn good people. I worked my way up. I was never given anything.

My two cents worth of what I know of most women, psychologically-speaking:

If you are real fond of her...make her the center of your interest. Ask questions about HER and HER interests. Women love to have guys show interest in them. It is natural. NO NOT talk about cars or taking her picture with a car on your first date. If she brings it up, it would then be okay to talk of your interests. If she shows genuine interest in the hobby, you can bring it up there or on on future dates. Do not blather on about yourself. If she asks questions about yourself, answer them honestly, but always shift the conversation back to her. DO NOT GET DRUNK, at least on the first date.

Best of luck to you; you never know when you might have finally found "the right one."

I'll just say that she has no problem with my hobby and thinks it's "cool" , the conversation was easy, I found out quite about her and it seems all good, I don't drink and drive so no problem there and we'll be having more dates.
