Thanks Gord!

A Canadian legend for sure. My wife and I had the pleasure of seeing him in concert, in Edmonton, last November, just prior to his 84th birthday. He was still full of wit and put on a great show. RIP Mr. Lightfoot.

Absolute genius 'story teller'.
I was fortunate to see him back in the '70s at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. If you've never been to "The Greek", it's an outdoor venue surrounded by trees in the Griffith Park area of Los Angeles and the perfect place for a Gordon Lightfoot concert.

Real shame broadcast radio no longer plays these treasures.

I heard the news earlier today. A damn shame losing such a talent. He's one of my all-time faves. RIP, Gordon. I shall hoist a glass of Kentucky's finest in your honor out in the shop tonight while I put you on the playlist and spin a wrench or two.

The Shipwreck Museum at Whitefish Point still rings that ship's bell for the crew and once for all sailors lost in the Great Lakes. Perhaps they ring it a thirty-first time this year? Godspeed Mr. Lightfoot...
