Yeah that was the forerunner to the 60 degree V6. The 2.8, 3.1 and 3.4.Chevy did develop a V4 engine in the 80s. The project died and went nowhere. They went with an inline 4.

Yes. Same pistons, rings, crank bearings, rods, timing set, water pump, pushrods, rockers, oil pump.....I'm sure I'm missing something. Much like the Chrysler 3.9.The chevy 4.3 was basically a 350 with two cylinders missing.
It was a good engine and used in thousands of chevy trucks and many many boats.
It is still popular today for jeep transplants as well as many other close quarters engine swaps.
