Well it has been a really long time since I have posted on here. A year ago today my mom, very unexpectedly, passed away. So a LOT has changed around here. I actually made the decision to sell off all the old cars and I followed through with that to the point that I no longer own any projects or even finished cars. I currently own just three vehicles (our two daily driver pickups and the 2015 Challenger), and that is it. It is the first time since probably the late 80's-early 90's (high school) that I have only owned 3 cars. Not sure what the future holds but it was time to move on.......no regrets.
Man time flies by! My last post was in Dec 2016, 8 1/2 years ago... I got a call early this week from the new owner of the Duster. Hopefully he will join the forum. Anyway he was asking questions about the car so I had to go back and refresh my memory using this thread. Reading back through the thread was a wave of excitement, heart break and everything in between. Brought up a lot great memories and some tough mental triumphs. Since several members bought cars from me when I was clearing out everything I collected to enjoy with my dad. I figure I will post how everything worked out. Well after my mom passed in 2015 I knew I was going to have my hands full. My dad did okay for a while but started showing more and more memory issues. It all came to a head in November/December 2020, the weekend after Thanksgiving. We ended up having to get help to care for him and he went to a memory care facility. He passed away in June of 2022. From then to now not much has changed around here. We still have the green 2015 Challenger Hellcat and the blue 2012 Challenger R/T that we bought for my dad. The Hellcat has 1800 miles on it now. So needless to say we don’t get them out much at all. I have found myself browsing old Mopars a little more in the past few months. But getting the call from the new Duster owner gave me a little motivation to get my Dads Challenger out for the first time in a couple of years. Figured it was time to get a few miles on it and clean the dust off of it.
