This is one of my daily drivers in the late 70's early 80's . I sold it in 1985 , The driver and car lived for 3 days. It was a GSS auto on column. I put a 72 bucket seat interior in it with floor shift and the scoop. The wing and front spoiler were on it from grand spaulding dodge. I know it will be hard to believe but It had a T/A block and heads. I sold the Six Pack and installed a LD340 and 800 cfm holley. I still have the wing , spoiler, steering wheel and scoop and 430 gears. the drivers side head and block were broke in the accident. Driver was killed. Hit a large rock . One of my favorite a-bodies I owned

Yep, horrible. I did something similar to my '68 Barracuda in 1979 but I survived. No other car involved. I miss the car.

Nice Demon and 1 life gone. Sad, and wow, glad you survived, but how? That is fish is pancaked. How badly were you hurt?
I sold the car when my son Steve was born and bought an aspen station wagon. The person I sold it to gave it to his 17 year old son. They had a forward shift kit put in the next day replacing the reverse manual.

The trans went into 2 gears shifting to drive on the third day racing a 68 Charger. His son was killed and the 16 year old passenger severely injured.
I ended up towing the car and that is how I ended up with the parts. The wing and front spoiler were removed from the car before I sold it. The wing and scoop were on my Duster and they survived the second time with my son driving.

I also sold My black RR at that time 4sd dana car. The buyer had it for 2 weeks. I had 5 RR's and 3 GTX's. This black RR was the coolest with white interior. The one GTX is usually in the survivors tent at Carlisle also white interior. That buyer took care of that one. I also see my red RR and Carlisle. I owned and street raced many mopars since 1971. I myself never wrecked one. I did roll a 67 400 4spd firebird when I was 20 years old.

damn it hard to see those mopars die
i had a 73 swinger in 82
had a cement truck pull out in front of me ,woke-up three days later in the hospital
tried to salvage the car, only good body part were the trunk lid and rear bumper
it hit hard enough that the engine pushed the trans that pushed the drive shaft and bent the rear ,crazy stuff

I have tons of pictures of cars I owned. Some of them are now on this site. Like this car. The person that bought it painted it Panther Pink for his girlfriend. I saw the car on this site for sale. Its a 4 spd car

Also the one on the shelf was bought buy a member On this site. I saw it , the give away was the tears in the holes behind the bumper It was an orange 70 Duster from Red Hill Pa. with a Dyers blower 340.

Sold this loaded 440 charger . He had it for a couple months. Hit a concrete wall. The kid in the passenger rear. His legs went under the bucket seat. They had to cut the seat out to remove him

My brothers friend bought a 69 rt se 440 mag i swear it had a 4spd auto back in 78 or 79 think he paid 500 all it needed was a right front fender ...
He needed to drive it from nj back to va
All he had was a 1 va plate from some car that they drove up in .so a took a piece of Styrofoam and blue magic marker and made him a plate
Heard he drove around for a month like that had car impounded...lost it......

Not really hurt, was lucky to have fallen to the floor. Was not wearing a seat belt. Went across a ditch and took out several trees and ended up on the roof. They used the jaws of life to get me out. You can see from the driver's side I was lucky. It was all because of my stupidity.

What was the stupid move? Looks like it was a FB. And a 68 at that. One of my favorites

It was a 68 Fastback. Stupid move was me being me in my younger days. I screwed up for sure. I still miss that car...

I wish I new what happened to my old 6bbl RR. I was second owner, my Navy buddy who sold it to me and I are still friends, he is near 80. His wife of many years went completely senile in a few months.

I sold it to some ******** kid and he's STILL a ******** and likely into drugs. The car disappeared not long after he bought it, and I lived in a VERY small town, about 4K or 5K population or so at the time. I heard rumors that he was iin a "hit and run" and someone claimed they "put it over a cliff." More likely one of his friends buried it or they cut it up. I tried to look him up awhile back with not much luck. He lives over in MT.

Listen to this!!! At the time he bought it I had dumped a 360 short block in it with some 273 commando heads and intake. Had an adapter on the intake for I think an AFB. It was a torque monster up to about 4000!!! After that you might as well lift or turn off the key!!!.

He used to tell his friends it would "run 12's" and "lift the tires."

One night I heard that and told him, "you can lie to all of the people some of the time, you can lie to some of the people all of the time, but don't ever lie to the previous owner!!! The only time that car had the tires off the ground was on jack stands!!! And it NEVER got into the 12's with a small block in, and the 340 was a LOT faster than that 350!!! His friends just stood there and didn't say anything.

It had about 140K on it then, and he managed to something I never had--burned up the Dana 60. I think he must have gotten one tire in the mud in the winter with the other on pavement, drunk, and just sat there and burned it until the clutches went away.

Me, about 1972
