did not know it was going to be this noisy...and not just from :fart:ing more. thanks to some seriously worn out discs my back makes some very interesting sounds with just the slightest twisting motions, my knees and ankles often sound like a bowl of breakfast cereal, what is it, Rice Krispies? Was hoping that after my shoulder surgery the pop was going to be gone.....and it is....however a new one has arrived, now instead of a single pop when my shoulder is moved in a circular motion I have a double pop any time it is moved behind me.....was told that it is from most of the cartilage being gone in the joint. Couple it with all the noises I hear, guy with a leaf blower, a different guy with a chainsaw, the near constant whispers I hear and my all time favorite, the bag pipe player and I could probably go the rest of my life without ever listening to music again. Can't help but wonder when the leaks are going to appear? Or worse yet? http://www.hulu.com/watch/10308

.............I really feel 4 ya buddy.........i have aches and pains from a couple of car accidents that i will never b any better than i am now...take care ..kim..........

i am more amused than anything.......docs have all told me that this is a result of a "active" youth. i say it was more from being a knucklehead....

I had to laugh when I read your post, Doug. I had the "snap, crackle, pop" in my left knee before I had it replaced a few years ago. After the knee replacement all was quiet. Now, my so-called "good" right knee is starting up with the same noise but not the same pain....yet.
I know I can't sneak up on anyone in a quiet place anymore. But you can't hear it at the bowling alley on Tuesday night!
Hang in there - the noise associated with getting older is still better than the total silence associated with the alternative.

Yup, maybe we could make a Rice Crispies commercial, snap crackle and pop! I suffer from the same cereal syndrome.

the noises are comical.........very true about the noises being better than the alternative.

I know how you guys feel. Been on disibility for a year now. Between the music of my joints and the voices in my head. I'm good to go for a party all by myself. Disc desease in my back. Can hardly bend over. Makes it a ***** to work on my own car. Golden years my a**. More like the pain in the a** years.

Not really. You are just entering the Salty Cracker years.
Happens to all of us just some sooner then others.

I know exactly what you are talking about. I have had it all my life. Learned to live with the pain but the knees and one hip are way past the point of no return. My wife who is 12 years older than me never understood the pain and only heard the rice crispies with every step I take. That was until she had a visit from Mr. Arthur Itis a few years ago and he never left. She says she can't believe I have lived with this my whole life and still remained somewhat good natured. I feel for you buddy, as we are in the same boat.

Jack

I tell my doctor if I knew I was going to live this long maybe would not have abused myself water sking, jumping out of boats and such nonsense. Had back surgery at age 38, in last 6 years have had 4 surgery's 2 on my neck, 1 on shoulder and heart surgery. Got 2 plates and 8 screws in my neck. Ah the golden years sure are grand lol. Never so bad can't get worse. :blah5:
