You guys get a kick out of this. Prior owner got a little creative with the trim and how to keep the carpet from falling down. Ignore the drywall screws. There is also one of these on the passenger side as well.

I bought a '66 Belvedere several years ago for a drag project. When I was stripping out the interior (totally toast from the south-west heat) especially to remove the custom Blue shag carpet interior I removed close to 100 #8 X 1.25" hex head sheet metal screws that were holding that custom carpet in place. Several of them were in the trunk and had been driven in to the gas tank and yeah, I dropped the tank before the stripping party. Made a hell of a mess.
