Hi everyone.

My Duster was put on hold for a bit for what I think was a good cause. I found a RAM D150 up for sale and couldn't pass it up. A one owner 1990 D150LE Club Cab short bed, 2WD, EFI 318, A518 trans all options but power mirrors with less than 39,000mi. This truck is so freaking beautiful I just cant believe I have it for my Daily Driver. I sold my super dependable 2010 Charger 2 weeks later. I been piddlen with the truck while the Duster sits and waits. I bought my new Ram: a new carport to live under, tires, brakes, sparkplugs, AC compressor, headliner, rear bumper, and different seats. All to make it more like what I had with my car but with a bed to throw junk in. She sleeps no more in that old barn neglected, I'm putting her back to work every day. Now that the truck is proving itself worthy and most of all my wife is comfortable riding in it, it's back to my Duster project.

You guys out west don't understand how good you have it with the nice sheet metal.

One thing I can't understand about those of you from the rust belt.Wouldn't you be further ahead to buy a car from the west coast and ship it.Seems shipping would be cheaper than replacing all the quarters and floor pans. The only bad thing I see is not being able to inspect your purchase 1st hand before buying. I feel for you....I would never put that much work into one my self.

wow!!!! a VERY clean truck!!! and now it leads a life of fruitful work and pampered too!! ha

but to find an older CLEAN truck without some minor rust or beat to heck and back! is not easy except around some areas where its possible to find a non farm truck.
yea Back in Time, I have asked that question bout people back East not doing more car shopping further West. shiping is expensive but extensive rust repair is only feasible unles ya do it yourself. HOW can anyone pay a resto shop their rates for extensive panel replacement!????
looks like a 87 ram 1/2 t I had back in early 2000. staright, rustfree, black, low miles, slant OD. and I found it in edge of K C Mo!!!! loved that sucker! go figure!!!

Wonder how many club cab short beds they made?
First one I have seen.
Cool truck, I'm jealous of the condition. Wish my D150 SWB was that clean and straight!

Thanks for the great comments everyone. Question: ever see someone put "Built Not Bought" on their cool old car? I want to put "Bought Not Built" on the truck. HaHa
As for rust? Yea I'm getting a real good taste of what its like to do sheet metal work. I envy those guys who were smart enough or lucky enough to get a rust free MOPAR. I replaced all my floor pans and Roof on the Duster. I'm not a car body or mechanic by trade. Just bought a welder and metal. Still learning. It's the main reason for showing off the truck on this site is so everyone who has ever had anything all apart due to: age, rust, or abuse can see it. There out there but old clean original one owner Mopars are hard to find.
As for short bed extended cabs? who knows how many are out there. I think ive only seen one other truck besides this one. Don't make em rare. Just not that common I guess. I really prefer the looks of single cab but the club cab makes it so much nicer. It does have its drawbacks: its not a diesel, or 4x4. it's a 318 pre magnum that's gutless, No posi, all smog stuff inplace, etc.. It will make a fun tow vehicle project one day.

Wow! Good lookin ride.

Most rust belters do not get better metal cars from out west because of the site unseen and pop up issues NOT told about. (Nothing like being screwed... Again....) Once you start learning how to do metal panel replacement, it just gets easier the more times you do it. We still don't like it, but it beats getting screwed on a car requiring double the work. It's like paying double for the car.

$1,000 car? Mostly turns into a $2,000 P.O.S. When it is delivered.
Dance with the he Devil you know.......
