Saturday afternoon I finally got my72 Duster out of storage from my girlfriends family farm! The first thing I did was pump up the two front tires cause they were both flat (one has a hole in it). The i primed the carb and started her up without any problems. The one bad thing was that the front drivers side brake line leakd over winter so there wasn't much fluid in the master so now there was air in the lines. So I filled it up and pumped the brake, I managed to get enough pressure in the lines to get the car to come to a stop, I just had to keep the speed under 50 kms. And if you thought that would be scarey enough I had no plates, no drive-able insurance and an expired temp plate, so with no money for a tow I drove it home from Innifill back to Barrie (about a 20 min drive). Lets just say my hands and feet were shaking all the way, I was so scared that a cop might stop me ($5000 fine). But I made it home safe and sound with my dad driving infront and my girlfriend behind, that way if the brakes went I'd hit my dad and not someone else. But as luck would have it I found out I only have a wussy 7 /14 rearend. Oh well thanx for reading my story eventhough it was long, now I'm going to finally start working on my car this afternoon, after a very impatiant winter LOL!

Thanx guys! Well today I got right to work on it, I gutted the interior, taken the drivers side door and front fender off. I have also removed the tailight s and harness along with the rear defrost and I just started to scrape the seam sealer and bondo out of her. Unfortunately I have to replace the entire front floor, eventually the trunk floor and (the hardest part to find) the rear tailight panel. There was anywhere from an 1/8th to a full 1inch of bodo in the panel. I will keep upsating as I progress and hopefully I can get some pics up with my girlfriends digi cam.

Update: April 17,06.

I finished taking apart the front clip and the passenger door today. I have found some more rust and bad workmanship on the part of a previous owner so now I have to replace both front inner fenders and the radiator support but as frustrating as that is it's all apart of the game so I'm just goining to keep at it. Hopefully I will have some pics to put up soon so you guys have a better idea of where I'm at in my restoration!

Got some more work done on the car in the past 2 days. Removed the drivers side floor panel, gas pedal, brake booster and master cylinder. also removed the wiring harness and starter which was a ***** to get out I had to saws-all my header and exhaust pipe just past the header then remove the header just to get the starter out. O will have pics of my progress probobly in the next week or so. Once i get a stand and hoist the engine will be coming out then I'll remove the inner fenders and rad support.
