An elderly gal lives a few houses down. She always kept her 2014 Sonata covered. One day there was a for sale sign on it. I was walking the dog and stopped by. It was in perfect condition
With 6000 miles which averaged 30 miles per week!! It still had the néw car smell. I ran home to call the bank. We got it for 11k and I bought a extended warranty for 2k. So the way I figure it we got a practically new cat for half price!!! My wife was initially upset that we spent the money but now she will hardly let me drive it!! I had heard grandma’s car stories but never thought it would happen to me.

My folks are gonna have cars like that some day. Mom's '11 Accord might have 30,000 miles, but I doubt it. Dad's Camry hybrid might have 10,000, but probably not (not sure on the year, but it's a couple years old). He's showing signs of dementia starting. Mom might outlive my generation. None of the us (me, my brother, and our wives) or our kids (our 2 or their 3) really need the cars.
