no they didn't. "Police say speed and alcohol are being investigated as factors" They said they 'were being investigated as factors'. They never said anything about either being true. sorry for your loss, btw. RIP Eric. *what's really annoying is the comment from 'autobug2' about 'the drunk'. There's someone who assumed something without any facts.
