There are so many out there (even aluminum) it gets confusing pretty quick reading the article. I hope there are no exams coming up anytime soon.

Some of it is confusing. The writer groups 318 with 5.2, and 360 with 5.9, and they are different blocks entirely, while there are similarities.
 
The author missed on some stuff. For the record: all the X blocks and IIRC some of the R blocks have 318 engine mounts, meaning the drivers side has the 318 mount...just like a 318.

All X blocks are nominal 318 bore size and all are denominated as 318’s. All of them.
