I introduced this car last year in the threads below:

Short story - the car beloged to a friend who passed away in 2008. It lived it's life in San Angelo TX and sat unattended there for the last several years during his prolonged illness. It's an auto, AC, PS car that appears to be all there. Some rust in the lower quarters but I haven't looked at floors and trunk yet. I picked it up this weekend and brought it home. Thought I'd share some pics.

San Angelo?

Thats where I am from!

Wish I could get back there.

Good Luck with the project....that looks like a deserving project.

As much as I'd love to restore and DD the car, I'm knee deep in another project that my friend had and I bought. I'm going to clean out the fuel system, oil the jugs and see if the 340 will come back alive, then most likely sell her to someone who has the time to make her shine again.

After much deliberation, I have decided that I just don't have the room to store this car for the 2 or so years it will take me to get to it. I have spoken with the owner and she agreed it's time to put it up for sale. Below is the copy from the Craigslit ad:

True 1968 Barracuda Formula 340 S notchback. This is a 2 owner, Texas car. Not registered since mid 90’s. Owner passed away last year, so we don’t know when it last ran. As far as I know it is completely original except for headers and the wheels - I do not have the original parts. Options are auto trans, PS, PB, and factory air conditioning. Exterior is red with white painted top and white interior. Comes with original owners manual, original jack, a huge stack of receipts from work performed at San Angelo Chrysler dealer and sales invoice from Abilene dealer when purchased by current owner in 1969. There is rust in both lower quarter panels and drivers side floor pan. Trunk shows no rust through. The interior is all there, but much of the plastic has dried and cracked. As I said above, I do not know the condition of the engine or transmission. Oil was left in the pan, but water was drained. I want to stress that this car needs a thorough and complete restoration, but is a great candidate since it is all there. Please only serious inquiries. The owner was a friend and I’m helping to sell the car for his family. It is located in the Lake Highlands area of Dallas. $6500 cash – no trades,
