I swung by the body shop today and here she sat all perdy. He still has to do the deck lid,2 gas caps and the grill support and she will be headed to the glass shop for the front/rear glass and headliner install before she heads home. She has been apart for about 3 years thanks to the previous body shop.

Thanks. It is WW1 from the factory so I kept it white. She is pretty much a #'s matching car still so I didn't want to change it much.

Awesome.

Agreed, the waiting game is the toughest one to play.

Finally! I did yank the original 273 set up and put it on the stand and dropped amild 340 in it. What a difference. That old 273 wouldn't even chirp the tires. I'm going to have to get used to driving it with this new combo.

Congratulations.... (Your op title, makes me yearn for classic Tom Petty...)

Looks great i love the WW1! What trans are you running behind the 340? three years is a long wait glad to see she is getting near the end. Shes gonna be a looker and runner!

Thanks,it's been a long time coming. I put an A999 OD trans in it with lower 1st,2nd gear,3:23 sure grip. I'll have to look at my build thread start date to see just how long it has been apart.

seems you were so excited when you took the pics you couldn't hold still - - :poke::lol: - lookin' good!!

Whoever said patience was a virtue has never waiting for a body shop to finish their car

Or is my case having the doctor tell you its okay to return to working on my 65 Barracuda, or at least have my wife find a new job so I can get out in the garage and do a few things. Even though they tell me the cancer is totally gone, this really sucks to realize it may be next year before I get to finish my project

well - you know... - the waiting IS the hardest part - all good things come to those who wait - patience is a virtue - it's all good - and anything worth having is worth waiting for...
....not helping huh? (yea, I don't adhere to most of this BS either!!)

Agreed Mike. I am physically good, but with my wife being laid off from work, she is like the mother hen hovering over everything. I should be thankful to have a wife of. 30 years who does care for me and have my best interest at heart, but --------
