This Is A Heartbreaker....

When State Farm totaled the Forester they used CCC Intelligent Solutions who is supposed to have some sort of valuation program. I do not know if the same company is used for collector cars. They decided that the car was worth $2700 less $500 deductible and $500 "Owner Retained Salvage"! I would expect the same thing from Hagerty if I wrecked the Max and decided to keep him.

Try dealing with State Farm home owners insurance, it is a total dumpster fire. Our agent and none of her minions can answer simple questions, we are referred to specialists who have no clue about houses in the south Texas area and, it takes days to weeks to get answers. We are currently shopping for another insurer.

I'm quite surprised. I have had my roof replaced by SF home insurance and it was a breeze. Very fast and paid enough for me to have a little extra after it was all said and done. Rate didn't go up either.

I have not dealt with a collector car issue with SF. Otherwise I have used them on my modern hot rods with no issues. Same with towing when I have broken down, it was fast and easy and had a tow pretty fast in the middle of the night in remote Colorado.

I've had the same results as @Cuda Hunter, a painless quick deal. They fixed our roof and put the contractor in his place when he tried to fleece us for more.

I've had equally painless experiences with car repairs, my ex had a lot of them! My agent takes care of everything promptly for me.

It's hit or miss you though, my first SF agent wasn't the best, and only seem to care about me paying my premium. His assistant was an angel who helped me out a bunch.

Cars can be repaired or replaced, arms, legs, heads, not so much. It is good that he is well, God still has more work for him.
