Cool.
Live over in Kalamazoo area. We race at US131, bunch of us Mopar guys over here.
You didnt by chance make your passes at Lapeer did you?
Went over there long time ago, and the ET’s, MPH, everything were way off from anywhere else i have ever been. WAY off.
Never went back

Wow! I've heard of a tenth or two discrepancy due to certain conditions on tracks in the same altitude. But not way off....

i would not doubted from Lapeer if it was years ago they ran that track down, but the new owner has rebuilt everything new track new lights the works it’s a very nice place

lets put it this way. I took my well sorted 70 Duster there. My personal best ever with the car anywhere was 9.85@ 134.71.I raced it points, index raced, knew with a hundredth or two what it would run before even getting it off the trailer.Go to Lapeer and ran 139+ right off the trailer. Was right around 140 all 3 or 4 passes i made. I had to laugh, wow, i picked up 75 horse...lol
To do a burnout you pulled onto the track, backed up until your back tires rolled down into a trough, then pulled back forward. Hillbilly didnt begin to describe it lol.

its ultra nice. Not another track in Michigan remotely as nice, and i have raced at all of them. All concrete, long shutdown, ultra smooth.

can you post an actual time slip so we can see the incrementals?
Based on what its doing, sounds like The dyno the motor was on is mighty happy.
If it was making remotely close to 450 ish horse it would be well into the 11’s with way more mph.
Ok so these are the time slips form last year I left the slips from this year in the motorhome now there gone lol but there about the identical and I see I was wrong on the mph

What's your tire size ? How much compression is your engine ?

I wonder if the cam is a tad big down low, seems the converter route your taking is a good idea

26

241@ 50 isnt “ big” for a 4 inch arm, at all. Even at 10 to 1
My cam is 260@50 in a stock stroke 360, that might not even be 10 to 1 .seems to work OK. Convertor is everything. Been right at 119 before, at 3300, very mild eddie heads.
Based on the mph numbers i am seeing with that blueprint stroker, actually in cars, my guess is the heads are very limiting. A real 445 horse, or even close, should run in the 11’s at 110-112 falling off a log

Folks are running that fast or faster with 340x heads & less. If the calculation of multiply you head cfm ×2 is anything then he's flowing 222.5 cfm, I think edelbrock heads flow more than that. 440 source recommends that cam for 440-470 cubic inch engines for street cars. How much converter do you run ? What are your heads flowing? & who's [email protected] cam ? There's a difference though in working okay & working at its best. Unless your 3.58 stroke 260 @.050 cam is custom ground so your intake closing point isn't up 68-70 degrees your giving up massive power down low. Hughes engines told me my best compression level with the howards 260-264 @.050 cam to make the most power that cam has is 12.5:1, mines 11.4:1 and 471 cubes. but I want it a little soft off the line, & it's to be a street car pump-mix.

Also that 11s should be 445 at the tires not the crankshaft minus 18% for drivetrain thats 365 hp give or take a .010 hp, his a-body probably weighs 3500+ with him in it.

I just went to wallace calculators, put in 3500 & 365 hp it came up with 12.33

I disagree with Hughes on cam recommendations. Unless they are running over 68 degrees intake closing. Which is why scr needed is so high
That's why I called bullet and not Crap cams. They took my 10:1 390 specs and custom ground a solid roller 254/264 @.050 and .689 lift with a intake closing in the mid 50s to keep dcr up.

104 mph at that weight is 307 at the tire
Okay, I have no idea how much his total weight is, it could be as much as 3700 pounds, I just showed you that the car shouldn't run 11s. That was my point.

Well thats exactly why then it's works (better than) okay. I run howards. That comp stick has a late closing so he is giving up bottom end, explaining the 1.7 60ft.

Yes, I disagree too there's no way in hell I could run pump gas with over 12.0:1 lol
