I can move pretty fast for a fat, out of shape, oldman when I have to. Almost zero percent chance of rain north of Pittsburgh today. Well guess what??? It started getting dark so I stuck it in high gear and got the duster in the box just as she left loose. I got soaked closing things up but it’s Wednesday so that counts as my mid week shower.

To get to the highway from my home I have to go down about 1 mile of gravel (dirt really) road that is poorly maintained. I always sweat it if it rains hard a day or 2 before I leave for the track. Funny thing is I've never worried about getting stuck there coming home, just going to a race! Priorities!

With your heat it all dryed up rather quickly

Gonna be one of those years. 11 tires I had to buy so far this year plus two 14-32 (800.00) slicks. Car trailer will need four more but I think I can put that off till next year. Those are 220.00 each.

I think old is relative.

Relative to how old you feel and I feel beat up. Finished a few odds and ends on the duster, hooked the car trailer up to my truck, torqued the wheel and new tire on my trailer, pumped and loaded 20 gallons of alcohol, put two 5 gallons cans of gas so I dont have to fill the motorhome till I’m in Ohio, loaded the duster, popped a brake line on my truck (job for next week), loaded my motorhome spare and car trailer spare, changed my two bad dolly tires, pulled the car trailer up the hill blocked it and unhooked it, drove the motorhome up the hill and hooked it up to the car trailer, went to Walmart for weekend food, loaded the motorhome with said food, ate, and now ready for bed. Tired and sore in Pa.

Well I arrived safely at Dragway 42 around 3:15. Only 160 mile tow out past Summit racing in Ohio and probably my least liked tow. Gamblers race going on now 5000.00 to win. The just added a 200.00 to enter 64 car field race after this is over. We are under severe storm warnings late evening tonight so I’ll stay loaded up and get my one time trial tomorrow. They have a slick app that notifies you what call is being made. Pretty nice.
