three speed rebuild

anyone know where to get rebuild parts for a three speed.

i have a 230

and also is it possible to synchronize a slanty non-synch unit to be like the V8 synch version?

Do you have a FSM (factory service manual)?

That should help you get it done.
 
I believe all 230's were syncronized, you'll know once you pull the side cover off. The 3 speeds with the tin top cover and no place to mount a floor shifter are the ones without the syncro on first gear. I don't know where you would get rebuild parts for that trans, maybe Brewers, they might be able to point you in the right direction.

ok so the 230 are all synchronized and the 745 is not.

the 745 is the really lightweight one that you can only use with column shift. and are the top loader units.

that makes sense .....thanks for reply
 
Call breweres he has parts for a 230, that trans sure looks like a 230 I took out of a 340 demon years ago.
