I'm going to replace the throttle cable on my Duster with a Lokar piece. How long of a cable should I get? 24"? 36"?

and after you cut it to fit, there will be around 8 inches left over, depending on how you route the cable, and what throttle bracket you use.I got the stainless lokar throttle bracket with mine, because im gonna use there kickdown too.

Yeah, I've got the same bracket. In fact I've got a Lokar cable on the car now but it's starting to come apart and needs to be replaced. But I don't remember which one I put on there, the 24 or 36 inch one. But from what you're saying it only need to be about 16 inches long?

but i didnt measure it to be sure,i just bought the shortest one i could find. How long have you been using yours?why is it coming apart?

It's been on there for 3 or 4 years, I've connected it and disconnected it more times than I can count. The inside wire is coming apart so I figured it'd be better to just replace it than try to make it work properly.

and how easy it was to put on,i just couldnt see rounding up an new or origal stock style set up for my car.I almost bought the black one,but i like the look of the braided one better. Why did you have to take it on and off so much?Been trying different carbs or something?I think the way i routed mine,it should last a long time

Yeah, changed carbs, intakes, heads, etc.
