Throttle sticking???

Hey guys, Not sure if I just had a freak issue with the throttle or throttle cable sticking on my 318, but as I pulled up to a stop light my Dart kept idling super high as though it was stuck wide open. I shut it off and popped the hood and nothing looked out of the ordinary (I didnt give too deep of a look due to sitting in rush hour traffic).:wack:
I started it and drove off with no further issue.
Was this a stuck throttle or is there anything else I need to check? Not the most comforting feeling.

Take a good look at the cable,sometimes when they begin to fray it will jam,has happened to me once.

like stated check out the cable.

an what are you running for a return spring. should have a double spring set up on it.

There is a double spring set up with new springs.
The cables look good except for on place where it looks like it was slightly crimped. I'll probably just go ahead and replace it. I don't really want that happening again in the Indianapolis rush hour traffic. Thanks guys!

Mine stuck a few times because the linkage on the side of the carb was hitting the air cleaner...
