It worked well for me in the trade. Basically we started on the job in the Street/Highway/Freeway/Dirtspread working with 7 am start or earlier.I have no need for it to be daylight at 4:30, or even 5:30 for that matter. Additionally, I enjoy getting home from work and maybe getting my yard mowed so I don’t have to blow my weekend time on that chore.
Sure, you can work in the garage by lightbulbs, but I prefer actual daylight. Getting dark seems to naturally trigger me to wrap it up and go inside.
For those reasons, I’ll always side with leaving the time shift. If they want to leave it, leave it on “summer” time, I’ll drive to work in the dark for longer.

Do you mow your lawn at 10 pm?I have no need for it to be daylight at 4:30, or even 5:30 for that matter. Additionally, I enjoy getting home from work and maybe getting my yard mowed so I don’t have to blow my weekend time on that chore.

Not just you either. Getting dark seems to naturally trigger me to wrap it up and go inside.

Ever witness a full eclipse ?
It is crazy, the birds go quiet and the crickets start chirping
Then 20 seconds later, it reversed again
