I've been installing the factory under dash interior light harness. I remember most of the connections and it looks pretty self explanatory, today with one door switch connected and the other door switch wire grounded and the hot connected at the cigar lighter i got glove box light and key switch light. The map light didn't come on after toggling the switch but I know why: at the end of the harness at the opposite ( left)end is a female connector with a yellow wire and a brown wire, the brown wire needs power for the map light to work however my new under dash harness doesn't provide for this. Does anyone know if this should be switched or unswitched?
Also I noticed the time delay relay was warm to the touch, is this normal? I've heard these relays can be problematic and run a battery down.
