Time marks

are the timing mark on the timing chain cover on the same side for 318 and 360 or do the use different covers?

Depends on what year.........about 69 or so changed, different balancer, timing cover, and water pump. "Early" had timing marks on pass side, lower water pump fitting on driver side. "Later" switched.

318/ 360 use different WEIGHTED balancers, but marks / timing cover are same in same year range. If you switch all three pieces you can change them from early to late, or opposite
